To unblock a drain try using a plunger first. Failing that, you could open the clog by pouring one cup of baking soda, followed by one cup of vinegar, a bit at a time. The combination creates a lot of fizz. If the drain is running slow, then repeat this process.
You can stop adding vinegar when you stop hearing the fizz in the pipes. Run the hot water for a couple of minutes afterwards. Regular treatment like this will keep your drains running free.
